    What idea do you have to address the problem?

    As volunteers of the Parkside Plaza Committee, we would like to work with other neighbors and artists to create a community mural project on the wall outside of the Parkside Ave. Q Train station. Currently, there are old phone booths that have fallen apart and serve no purpose. These would need to be removed. Money for paint, brushes, scaffolding, and to fund the process of artist and design selection is needed. We seek to create this mural as a way to benefit the entire Flatbush/PLG community. It would beautify the Plaza, create a welcoming and communal atmosphere and demonstrate some of the community ideals. We would seek ideas from the community for the mural so that it represents something meaningful and inspiring. This mural would demonstrate a commitment to continuing to have the Plaza as a gathering space for artistic, cultural and resource events.
