Revitalize the Waterfront

Avatar: Project Hospitality Project Hospitality
07/11/2022 14:16

Developed by the students of IS 25 in Staten Island

What problem would you like to solve?

There are many abandoned buildings along the waterfront in Staten Island

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Those buildings are an eyesore and can be put to good use

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Use funding to identify anyone that would be interested in revitalizing waterfront property and to connect them with the city to receive grants or incentives to build

Who would that help?

Anyone who lives near the waterfront, mostly low income neighborhoods

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

Stapleton, Port Richmond, Tompkinsville, St. George
