After school programming focusing on physical activity and healthy eating

What problem would you like to solve?

Too many children do not get enough exercise, do not know about proper nutrition, and are overweight.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Health problems that start in childhood can last a lifetime.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

An after school program that focuses on physical activity and healthy eating can teach children how to stay active and healthy early in life and and build an appreciation for healthy living. The program should also include some sort of assessment to see if it is working.

Who would that help?

Youth in the community.

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

Request is for Fordham and University heights in the Bronx.
