Restoring Mental Health for Families

Avatar: Kingsbridge Heights Community Center Kingsbridge Heights Community Center

What problem would you like to solve?

Lack of access to mental health education for family units to know what to do to prevent or respond to mental health issues, substance misuse, domestic violence, child abuse, and mass shootings.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Access to information and resources should be directly available in the languages needed.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Professionals, doctors, therapists, and social workers have Q and A videos at events or on television.

Who would that help?

Everyone, especially parents and adults across all fields, to prevent more significant issues like suicide, sexual assault, substance abuse, and mass school shootings.

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

The Bronx
