Trade apprenticeship program for Youth

Avatar: Unidad y Fe Unidad y Fe

What problem would you like to solve?

Offer alternatives for youth who may not be pursuing college careers and have an inclination towards other trades (electrician, carpentry, barber, plumbing, etc.)

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Many young people need alternative career paths to college degrees. This will help enormously by giving them employable skills and a productive opportunity to use their skills, building more prosperous communities.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Pilot workshops on various trades to identify needs and vocational orientation of the participants, then establish the trade apprenticeships most relevant.

Who would that help?

Youth, families, and communities involved.

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

Woodhaven
