What problem would you like to solve?

Provide housing subsidies to people without the red tape. A homeless person doesn't have weeks or months to \"qualify\" for a voucher. There has to be a simple way.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Providing housing/shelter makes the community better. Neighborhoods will be safer and people will be happier having a place to call home.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

I would make the process run smooth and faster by using the documents provided and keep them in a system where a worker can access and approve a person within 48 hours so that they can start searching for an apartment. Right now, you have to submit, resubmit, etc - and everything takes more time and effort than it needs to, plus people don't always have the \"right\" documents

    Who would that help?

Everyone. NYers, immigrants, the homeless, the economy. It might bring people back to ny that left due to Covid and high rents - and stop others from being forced to leave

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

    Bronx
