Love Mother Nature - Plant ID Walks + Cooking Demo

What problem would you like to solve?

NYC has access to thousands of plant species that are native to our community. Most times, we walk right past plants that have the power to bring us healing and peace. I would like to reconnect our community to mother nature as a way to "forest bath" and meditate and reduce stress.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

This is a unique way to practice meditation and mindfulness by exploring mother nature and learning about different plants and medicinal properties with theEATschool.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

I would like to work with NYC Parks to lead plant ID walks to bring together the community through nature and meditation.

Who would that help?

These walks would be open to natives of the Bronx, especially targeting communities of color.

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

The Bronx community would benefit from learning about mother nature and wild plants that have medicinal properties. Concrete Plant Park would be a good place to host the event.
