What problem would you like to solve?

Disabled business owners are not included in grants/programming for entrepreneurship investment. Disabled business owner should not have to give up equity for funding.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

The disabled community is the largest minority group. Yet, they are not included in funding programs that aid minority businesses. Black and Women owned businesses have lot of targeted programming/grants for them. We need more for disabled specifically.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Provide equity-free cash grants to disabled owned businesses. Disabled business owners should not have to give up equity for funding. Disabled business owner are not able to access funding because there is no specifically for them that allows them to keep all ownership of their businesses.

Who would that help?

This would help the largest minority group - the disability community. This would help NYC as it opens up opportunity for disability community to contribute to economy and jobs.

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

Borough: Manhattan
