Changes at "Defend East Harlem!"

What problem would you like to solve?

The decrease in public safety.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Crime rates have been at all time high, especially in minority neighborhoods. We must protect people from sexual assault, general violence or robberies.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

To provide self defense courses to learn how to defend themselves in different circumstances. Hopefully this program can also provide pepper spray, pocket knives, and how to properly store and use them.
