Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Many people in the community are afraid to use public transit due to crimes and discrimination. Our community has people of many races, and may risk facing hate on transit. My close friend experienced harassment on the bus and nothing was done to the perpetrator.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Raising awareness and making police patrol public transit. People may feel safe with the presence of of police and being assured with them makes the community safer too. Cameras in transit, like the ones that are being put up will certainly lower danger.

Who would that help?

The police can most definitely help and transit works can monitor situations and make sure nothing bad is going on.
