What is your idea?: Provide funding for an urban planner or an urban planning team to work with community boards in Brooklyn to consider recent DCP initiatives and the Boro President's Comprehensive Plan and CB's District Needs Statements to make district level and borough-wide recommendations.
What problem is your idea trying to solve?: There have been so many zoning text amendments and various land use applications and DCP Neighborhood Plans that planning seems very piecemeal and communities are siloed. This would gather data and consider needs as expressed by local communities to rationalize borough-wide planning.
