When the internship ends, participants are hired into permanent roles. Not a referral slip — an actual job at the end of the road. Around that core: entrepreneurship coaching for those who want to build their own business, financial literacy, and peer reentry support throughout. Anchored at Ubantuu Inc.'s hub at 1983 Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn, with satellite intake in Brownsville and East New York.</div></dd><dt name="textarea-1791493410531-0">What problem is your idea trying to solve?</dt><dd id="textarea-1791493410531-0" name="textarea"><div>In Flatbush, Brownsville, and East New York, too many returning citizens and disconnected residents are locked out of the economy — and too many New Yorkers on HRA public assistance get sent back to work programs that never turn into real jobs. Services exist, but they're scattered — and the loop breaks where it matters most: people finish training and still can't get hired.
