Unhoused People
Describe the challenge you want to address:
Brooklyn, like many urban areas, faces a growing homelessness crisis. Despite the existence of shelters, many individuals and families remain on the streets or in temporary accommodations due to concerns about safety, overcrowding, and lack of supportive services. This issue is exacerbated by the borough's high cost of living, limited affordable housing options, and inadequate mental health and substance abuse treatment resources.
What is the solution to the challenge?
Partnerships and Collaborations: Foster partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and government agencies to provide additional resources and support, such as: ○ Food banks and meal programs ○ Clothing and personal item donations ○ Educational and recreational activities
