Avatar: Community Member Community Member
Do you have specific Neighborhood(s) in mind?
Libraries throughout the Bronx or specifically the Allerton branch and/or nearby libraries
Which group(s) does your idea focus on? Select as many as apply.
Youth
Older Adults
Limited English Speakers
Immigrants/ Migrants
Describe the challenge you want to address:
Also the libraries to enhance community engagement and awareness in educational, job-related search, after-school activities for kids, young adults, immigrants, seniors, non-English speaking adults and non-citizens
What is the solution to the challenge?
Distribute funds to libraries in the Bronx. One idea is to add 3 personal computers to each Bronx library. Alternatively or in tandem add or allocate additional funds to all Bronx libraries for youth, teens, seniors, unemployed, immigrants, adults, non-English speakers so that they can get counseling, advocacy, educational, entertainment, recreational, jobs/resume, tutoring, drug counseling, application preparation or assistance, voter registration, and social enlightenment, and after-school activities, fairs, and empowerment, role-playing, and workshops
