Describe the challenge you want to address:
Invasive Lantern bugs cause serious damage including oozing sap, wilting, leaf's, curling and dieback in trees, vines, crops and many types of plants.
Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:
My approach to combating the lantern bug challenge is to encourage NYC to adopt the New York Botanical Garden approach to remove plants that the insects are attracted to, to sustain the health of plants and trees. And to also adopt the approach of The Bronx Zoo who has hung triangular mesh traps engineered to catch lanternflies. We all must do our part, whenever and wherever we can.
