What problem would you like to solve?

Implementation of an event to showcase Afro-American Culture and History

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Our Black and Brown children should have an opportunity in their community to celebrate their culture and the contributions of Black Americans; emphases our collective greatness and bring it to the forefront to help establish pride in our youth and community. Relevant to the community because untold concepts of true history and the contributions of Blacks in America needs to be highlighted in the most positive atmosphere and setting giving the opportunity to look back and forge forward positively.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Host a Community Juneteenth Event in our Community Crotona Park

Provide opportunities for networking cultural exploration, create an environment that fosters relationship building, social, health wellbeing and economic opportunities, at a venue that host multi stakeholders that provide support services, and cultural food and exploration multifaceted, showcase crafts and the Arts. Black Pride Day

    Who would that help?

Multi-generational and stakeholder members of our community,
