Developed by the students of IS25 in Staten Island

What problem would you like to solve?

There are a wealth of resources for mental health but they can be hard to navigate or become aware of

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

A suicide affects everyone in the community negatively

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Use the funding to hire a worker, or augment another program, to do outreach to anyone who identifies as depressed. This person would have an awareness of all mental health resources available on Staten Island and would connect depressed people to these resources

    Who would that help?

    People suffering from depression

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

Low income neighborhoods without access to mental health resources
