Affordable Housing for Seniors - Non-Gentrification Forum & Toolkit

Avatar: Blocked user Blocked user

What problem would you like to solve?

Seniors are getting harassed by phone calls from real estate persons asking them to sell their homes

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

We want to keep our homes. everyone has spent over 25-30 years in their homes, especially elderly residents. We don't want to be harassed by gentrification

What idea do you have to address the problem?

We need a forum and toolkit to teach everyone how to advocate for themselves and their neighbors when it comes to housing including how to know your property value, and how to handle real estate people who call as well as a way to get the word out with continued resources to residents.

Who would that help?

Seniors and homeowners

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

East Flatbush
