What problem would you like to solve?

Seniors need affordable housing, medicine, police in the area, and safety in the community and in their buildings.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

We need safety and services for seniors who are vulnerable and otherwise lacking in services.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

We need money to employ people to act as a navigator for seniors. They can provide services such as advocacy with NYCHA for repairs, coordination for moving services when people need to move, estate planning for folks who are older and in need of estate planning but cannot afford it, folks to help with NYCHA recertification, people who ca help collect documents and submit directly to NYCHA.

Who would that help?

It would help many seniors in the community.

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

Manhattan/Dyckman
