What problem would you like to solve?

    Health and nutrition

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Most of the black and Latino community do not have access to proper healthy foods and nutrition education. We as a community do not intake the recommended amount of water and eat appropriate portion sizing. We are the lead in diabetes and hypertension along with other diseases. I believe if we implemented a program for healthier foods in schools, grocery stores and food pantries it would be beneficial to us all.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Healthier choices in grocery stores, alternatives for sugary and processed foods. Classes on meal prep.

    Who would that help?

    The community

    Nutritionists

    Wellbeing experts

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

    Brooklyn
