What problem would you like to solve?

\"Children (and teens) are the future!\" And we need to guide our future in the right direction, as we've been heading downhill for the past two decades (as evident in where we've ended up). It's time to turn it around and reinvest in our people, reinvest in the arts!

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Mentorship is extremely important in helping to guide the next generation, and art helps in personal growth and development- put them together, and you have a program that helps build community and a future society of more self aware, mentality healthy, creative humans.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

An artist mentoring program would help in both fostering meaningful relationships in the mentoring aspect in general, but also specifically in the arts realm- in helping students develop their artistry, their personal expression, and the empowerment of finding their own voice (especially for those in underserved communities that often feel they don't have one). It helps create a community and sense of belonging, as well as a potential path forward.

    Who would that help?

Students / youth, artists, society, humanity!

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

    Queens
