What problem would you like to solve?

There are so many abandoned spaces in NYC. Some of these spaces could be used to benefit the community.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Cultivating spaces for the community would help kids. adults, the elderly, and others to enjoy the outdoors and connect with their neighbors.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

We can design workshops where people look at empty plots and design the parks of their dreams. For example, including gardens, community events, and activities. The ideas from the workshops could be brought to the city so the Parks department can have a closer connection to the needs of the community.

Who would that help?

All community members

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

Brooklyn, specifically, Bedstuy, Williamsburg, and Greenpoint
