Immigrant Kids Succession

What problem would you like to solve?

The problem I would like to see solved is the inability for immigrant kids to be on the same level as those who were born in the Unites States. Many times, kids who come from another country, whose primary language is not English are already struggling in learning a new language, it is already difficult for them to learn the language and keep up with the curriculum.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

This is important to solve to allow all kids to have a fair chance. Many times people come for all over the world to the United States and it would be great to have the kids all have a fair chance. This is relevant to the community as there are many immigrant kids who struggle with school and do not always push through.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

An Idea that would help address this problem is creating a program that tutors the kids after school and ensures they are understanding the material even if it is in their native language so they can deal with learning English at school but also can keep up with the curricula when struggling.

Who would that help?

All Immigrant Kids

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

Bronx
