Many women are not financially independent and live near or under the poverty line or are dependent on the income of an abusive partner

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Lifting women out of poverty means economic stability and safety for us all

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Hold classes (online and in real life) to guide women in figuring out what they need to open their own businesses

Have drop in office hours to help answer questions regarding opening specific businesses. Example: what licenses do I need to open my own hair salon?

NYC women, especially those in economically vulnerable situations
