Reduce the volume of rainwater during Flashflooding and Heavy Storms

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

NYC Storms are creating overflow of excessive water into basements and homes. This is relevant to the community because property damage impacts small homeowners and NYC local residents.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Distribute several water basin containers to all Homeowners In NYC. If every property owner had a NYC water barrel container (which already exists) we could help reduce the amount of water that can quickly impact drains. Free Containers already exist but it is impossible to obtain one. This would also reduce the amount of water usage in NYC for homeowner gardens.
