Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Right now, rents in nyc are increasing at a drastic rate. People can barely afford rent and are on the verge of eviction from their homes. Even if you don't get evicted, the constant STRESS and worry is not healthy.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Increase rental assistance, make it a permanent program and easier to access. Create programs that hold landlords accountable and are actually enforced quickly and easily.
