What problem would you like to solve?

Better quality of care and support in shelters so that they are more successful in getting people on their feet.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Many homeless people who are on the streets don't want to go to a shelter because they aren't good places to be.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Use empty apartments in NYC that are useless and make them places for homeless people to stay that are better than shelters. Put more money into shelter services too

Homeless people, people dealing with drug/alcohol addiction

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

Manhattan, especially downtown and uptown
