What problem would you like to solve?

Lack of access to holistic health alternatives in BIPOC communities, especially Black immigrants.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Access to holistic health alternatives can prevent disease, chronic conditions. It can also promote healthier living, better quality of life as we age. It is especially relevant for BIPOC communities as levels of stress, diabetes and asthma are extremely high.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Free access to holistic health alternatives in the area of health (physical and mental) for BIPOC communities, especially Black immigrants. Care should be taken to staff the program with BIPOC professionals as well.

Who would that help?

BIPOC persons (Black, Indigenous, Persons of Color) and immigrants

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

Brooklyn
