What problem would you like to solve?

I'd like to address the problem of social services/CBOs not having knowledge of each other's work and therefore might be over-burdened or unable to serve community well because there isn't a go-to database/hub that can connect and refer community members to places to help with issues/needs (translation, immigration services, mental health, financial planning, job and workforce development, etc)

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

there is so much variation and demand for social services, not everyone gets served due to capacity issues, and not knowing what other options exist that could serve a person leaves some orgs overburdened and clients underserved.

What idea do you have to address the problem?create an up-to-date reliable resource/database (can be physical files too)/info hub in the community. It doesn't solve people's needs, but rather helps them navigate options available, and to disseminate info (likeNY Healthcare insurance navigators, but for social services, legal, financial literacy, housing, etc)
