What problem would you like to solve?

ACCES to Employment, and a safe work environment where one does not feel targeted, judged, looked down on or uncomfortable if an accommodation is needed.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Over 70% of disabled individuals are unemployed and are forced to rely on the government for finances. Decreasing this number would provide incredible benefits not only for disabled individuals but for society as a whole by creating a society that is more productive, self reliant, confident and independent

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Creating a citywide database for qualified disabled employees where employers can go to recruit individuals for positions. We can encourage employers to participate though mandatory education and awareness trainings and employer insensitives.
