Essential

Citizen Exam Training

Avatar: Official proposal Official proposal

What problem would you like to solve?

The problem we would like to solve is the lack of resource and neighborhood programs helping immigrants and migrants study for the citizenship exam.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

This is important to solve because as a sanctuary city, New York city has been taking in large waves of migrants along with immigrants every year. These individuals come with little to no knowledge of how to become a citizen or even study for the exam.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

An idea we have for addressing this problem is giving neighborhood community centers supplies and teachers to teach individuals wanting to take the citizen exam.

Who would that help?

This would help immigrants and migrants who want to study for the USA citizen exam.

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

This would benefit all boroughs as all boroughs have immigrants and migrants.
