Essential

Public Transport for NYC Residents to Make a Living

Avatar: Community Member Community Member

What problem would you like to solve?

Many New York residents have problems making a living wage to afford their housing, food, and daily needs. They have to go to different states to find jobs, mostly in factories. Because of this, there should be public transportation that takes people from the Bronx to New Jersey.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

This is important because many people from the Bronx want to go to New Jersey but have to travel to Manhattan to find the closest transportation. It would be much better for transportation to go directly from the Bronx to New Jersey.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Creating a program or service that provides public MTA buses or trains that would go to New Jersey for people that work.

Who would that help?

MTA and commuters.

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

Bronx.
