Providing real, locally farmed fruits, veggies and food for senior centers and DOE school lunches.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Senior Centers and DOE schools do not provide the highest quality food that they could. Providing more connections to local farms and education for diverse diets (gluten free, vegetarian, low sugar) to the chefs, cooks and consumers provides the highest health outcomes!

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Link local farms and MD/RD with alternative diet/holistic diet education to DFTA senior center chefs and DOE schools kitchen staff and cooks. Educate people about how food affects health and mood and our climate!

Who would that help?

Seniors and children especially. And health outcomes of entire city.
