New restaurants on Boardwalk in Far Rockaway

What problem would you like to solve?

It is very deserted along the Far Rockaway Boardwalk at night. There are no restaurants on the Boardwalk and it would be nice to be able to go out at night and enjoy the Ocean. It does not feel safe on the Boardwalk at night right now.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

It will allow people to go out at night, eat, enjoy and support local businesses. It would also increase safety because of the pedestrian traffic.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Provide permits and opportunities for businesses to set up shops along the boardwalk

Who would that help?

Everyone - especially older adults who live along the shoreline who are afraid to go to the deserted boardwalk area. People living near the boardwalk or visiting Far Rockaway from other parts of the city.
