Access to co-op and unionization resources for minimum wage workers.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Minimum wage workers need multiple jobs in order to cover the rising cost of living in NYC, let alone cover healthcare, transportation, etc. Many of these workers exist in LMI communities of color, compounding social and economic issues.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Provide training to minimum wage workers on identifying unions, the 4-step process to joining a union, and how to conduct collective negotiating initiatives.
