Avatar: Official proposal Official proposal

What problem would you like to solve?

People who are unable to get the mental health care they deserve, or have unhealthy coping mechanisms (drugs, alcohol, violence).

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

By providing creative outlets for people to express themselves and their feelings, they can also learn about sympathy and empathy for others.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Fundraising events, mini concerts, AA-style/Socratic circle group discussions, a room dedicated to vent or air out frustrations.

Who would that help?

Mainly students from grades 6-12, college students and even the working individual.

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

Rockaway and Broad Channel
