What problem would you like to solve?

There are not enough Senior Services and programs in the East Elmhurst community. Seniors need programs that can benefit them, especially the ones living alone.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

It is important to solve because senior need activities too. Seniors and youth can be placed into a support group and link through sharing a health issue. Since some seniors have physical limitations, this can help them tackle this issue.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

We can create a community support group that matches a senior to a youth through health issues or shared qualities and interest. The support group could talk about a certain health issue that both the senior and the youth can relate too. They can share tips from past experiences to help the youth. The groups can also go to museums and spend time with the senior.

Who would that help?

This would help the youth and the seniors of East Elmhurst. This can become a support group for the whole community, and everyone can participate. This can keep seniors involved in their communities and the youths off the streets
