The Arc - Sports and Homework Hub

Avatar: Official proposal Official proposal

What problem would you like to solve?

The overlapping issues of gun violence, bullying, college readiness and hyperactivity with few outlets.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Our programs and initiatives promote physical education, homework help and community involvement in hopes they stray from illegal or dangerous activities.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

A program in a sports facility where students (pre-k to 12th grade) can work with coaches as well as case workers to identify and provide support for the multiple needs of young people.

The goal is to associate the fun and positive feelings of sport playing with clear headed guidance. We want young people to take initiative in their quality of life.

Who would that help?

Students and their families.

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

Stapleton/New Brighton/West Brighton
