What problem would you like to solve?

There is an inequitable distribution of social and financial capital within the city

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Connecting with individuals at a human level and at their needs is basic for our society and the core of many of issues that are flooding the city.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

We propose the creation or increased funding of existing projects such as Cada Paso or LSA's intake process that have initiated outreach to community members, provide full screenings using the social determinants of health and socio-economic model to meet people at their needs and help physically navigate them to the best resources already within the city with groups. These resources would include socialization, education and health linkages

Who would that help?

Our community as a whole, but especially immigrant populations, elderly populations and community members who cannot read.write.

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

All neighborhoods but especially East Harlem
