Essential

Art and culture programs for youth

Avatar: Official proposal Official proposal

What problem would you like to solve?

Youth education and services.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

We need to do what we can to make sure our youth are exposed to the benefits of arts and culture services. This can help them in the long term when they try to apply for colleges and universities to make them more competitive.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

We need more arts and culture programs in the community to teach our kids. This can help keep kids engaged, and give trouble youth an outlet to communicate their issues. This can be therapeutic.

Who would that help?

Youth and families.

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

Washington Heights/Inwood
