Affordable Housing Incentives
The City should consider a program, five years in duration, to allow landlords a percentage reduction in property taxes which is in some direct proportion to a percentage of affordable housing units available from the total [with some obvious cap].
For instance, a building with 40 units where 25% are designated affordable housing [based on rent $ amount], would correspond with a 12.5% reduction in taxes over a term of 5 years; or something similar.
