Fewer Parking Tickets to First Responders
Though EMTs FINALLY received a well-deserved increase they still earn a pretty low salary. They are often the very first to scene which is often volatile! They save lives. They should not be given parking tickets-as long as not blocking crosswalk/garage or parked near a hydrant. Some come home middle of the night after a 12 hour tour & there is no parking to be found & can't afford a garage! Small perks for special people that this City would be at a loss without.

Agree.
If it's not a legal parking space, it's not a legal parking space for a reason. Carve-outs to make non-spots legal for a selected class of people makes all the streets more dangerous for everyone. Selfish parking makes the street, and the City, more dangerous for everyone. Especially those using wheelchairs and pushing strollers.
This is a terrible idea. If a first responder parks in a No Standing zone meant to increase visibility, they are putting other people at risk of getting hit. Then another first responder will need to tend to the injured person. This leads to a vicious cycle of hiring more first responders, who then harm their neighbors, and more first responders are needed to help those injured by first responders.
I'd like to draft like this too - taking time and real hard work to make a great snake game article
