Wow! I am not a mental health expert, but I am human. I believe that the homeless have a lot of mental issues. They need long term care. This issue is a world wide conundrum. God said that the poor will always be amongst us. We are whether its liked or not we are our brothers keeper. When we were born the first thing that happened was someone had to help us. We have to help them in ways that they need the help. Not the way you want to give it. That means taking real time to find out what they need. Many need pysch help to drill down to the core of the pain so that they can finally get to the bottom of it 2 be productive. Just giving them food and a blanket isn't enough. It took time for the baby to walk. It will take time to get rid of the pain 2 show them they can be as normal as they want 2 be. We as a ppl have to care more than 5 minutes. These are Real ppl sent here just like us. not saying go outside and get one and bring them to your house. care where they are it lasts longer

Totally agree Robyn. I'm pretty sure majority of the folks don't want to live like this. Everyone starts out born an innocent baby not asked to be brought into this world and then life ends up going awry. Some can bounce back and some just can't. Like you said there are real core issues. It's not just about finding someone a job, place to live and it's all fixed. Some of these people have deep rooted issues that likely put them in their current situation. In an ideal world it would be great if they had a safe haven to bring them in from the street to start but then for the ones that truly need it, some intensive therapy programs to help them, whether mental troubles, or substance abuse problems (that also stem a lot from trauma, PTSD etc) and have ongoing services. It is very very hard for even the insured to find appropriate doctors and therapists..
