Adopt a flexible hybrid work schedule for city employees, reduce the footprint of city employees in city-owned or leased buildings AND repurpose the spaces for housing for unhoused individuals, or daycares, or senior centers or other critical social services. it's a WIN WIN.

This is an amazing combo-idea!! City workers need a more flexible, 21st-century, policy re: teleworking, and many City-owned office buildings are well-located and could be repurposed in creative ways (while also being upgraded to make them way more energy efficient). AND, if the buildings are used for housing / daycare / community space, this would also create the "foot traffic" for local businesses that the current & previous mayors seem to be so obsessed with, while not coming at the expense of a teleworking policy for City workers. Love it.
