City Staff Ideas Challenge

Great idea. Plenty of CITY owned builings that can be converted to housing. Incorporate gardens, food coops and primary care within.

Being more innovative in flexible in how we use city office space could also increase collaboration and innovation between members of the city workforce -- imagine if sustainability and housing experts were working side-by-side, or if DOE staff had more relationships with folks who administer social services for our students? Has the potential to save money, spur creativity AND boost employee morale, at a time when all of these things are desperately needed.

Municipal employees already showed during the height of the pandemic that we can work successfully from home. Mayor Adam's supported this concept when he was seeking our Union votes 🗳 during the Democratic primary.

When we work at home 🏡 we support our local economies. We have to pivot as we are losing talent from all city agencies to the private sector. We can reduce our office footprint and repurpose those buildings to deal with the homeless crisis we have in NYC. We can consolidate field offices and make those offices we use in a neighborhood style office space where you come in only when we have to gather for certain office tasks. We need the outer borough Mayor to remember his promises to Union members and our families that he would support an alternative work schedule 📅. Promises Made in this area have NOT been kept!! We need a Mayor who is going to make the public sector competitive and flexible for those who choose to serve NYC.

This is an amazing combo-idea!! City workers need a more flexible, 21st-century, policy re: teleworking, and many City-owned office buildings are well-located and could be repurposed in creative ways (while also being upgraded to make them way more energy efficient). AND, if the buildings are used for housing / daycare / community space, this would also create the "foot traffic" for local businesses that the current & previous mayors seem to be so obsessed with, while not coming at the expense of a teleworking policy for City workers. Love it.

Hybrid or remote for employees and daycare for the children is a great idea It would be great to also have New Yorkers who would like to own a daycare win an opportunity to run the facility.

I liked how this city was revolutionized, it was interesting to read about it. The content here was nothing related to real estate bitcoin Panama and I wanted to know more about that. Though it was informative coming here.
