Some cultures, specifically Africans and other minorities that lack a large presence feel left out of city celebrations. They feel like elected officials just don't know enough about the various cultures in the borough.

Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:

A celebration planning committee that works in tandem with the Bronx Borough President's Office to push inclusivity in the variety of holidays that the Bronx celebrates. For example: Eid, Christmas, Easter, Hannukah, Diwali, Chinese New Year, etc.
