Describe the challenge you want to address:
- Children with disabilities/mental health challenges do not have a safe space for them to get away from sensory overstimulation and receive more appropriate stimulation - Briarwood region lacks a facility providing the service of a sensory room - Lack of such a space makes it difficult for children to find and participate in healing activities catered to them.
Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:
- Provide a program which suits children with disabilities to have a sensory room - Workshops / events to keep children appropriately stimulated, comfortable and safe for them.
