Describe the challenge you want to address:
All of our children are in unpaid corporate training, disguised as public education. At least back in the day people had kids to help around the house. Now, no one wants to because it is asking for a master to slave for.
Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:
Pay the kids to go to school so they can feel like they are getting more than a star for their work and it will help them learn financial literacy. It will encourage students to do better in class and engage parents to reinforce learning in the home. 900,000 students in NYC, $500 each a year, $50ish/month, 9 months, is $450,000,000 a year that can be spent in a closed circuit online market ran by the city that students can spend in. Kind of like when you send money to jail inmates, another institution ran by the city. Subcontract a company and have a good day. Do a pilot program for 1% of these students and see the results.
