Youth

Immigrants and/or migrants

Describe the challenge you want to address:

Young relatives of recent immigrants/migrants feeling overburdened by having to help older relatives with limited or no English.
Pressure (real or perceived) from family members to make the most of every opportunity possible
Lack of time for anything other than family and school/work obligations

Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:

Host classes specifically for young relatives (e.g. children, grandchildren) of people with limited English to explain resources available to their relatives, and provide assistance with the youth's specific problems. Include social time before/after the class so the youth can let off some steam and bond with youth of a similar lived experience.
