Poll Site Interpretation Services
You Have the Right to Vote in Your Language
You may bring an interpreter to the voting booth.
It can be a friend, family member or poll worker.
It can't be your employer or union representative.
The NYC Civic Engagement Commission (CEC) provides language interpretation services in Arabic, Bengali, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin), French, Haitian Creole, Italian, Korean, Polish, Russian, Urdu, and Yiddish at select poll sites.
For the upcoming June Primary, the CEC will provide interpretation services on Saturday, June 25th and Sunday, June 26th for Early voting and on Election Day, Tuesday, June 28th.
*Services for poll sites that provide interpretation in Yiddish for Early Voting begin on Friday, June 24th.
The CEC's poll site interpretation services supplement but do not replace nor duplicate the NYC Board of Elections' interpretation services.
The NYC Board of Elections currently provides language assistance in the following counties and languages:
- New York: Spanish, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin)
- Kings: Spanish, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin)
- Queens: Spanish, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin), Korean, Bengali, Hindi, and Punjabi
- Bronx: Spanish
- Richmond: Spanish

Please note your early voting location may be different from your election day poll site location.
